The 2026 BMW iX offers three distinct powertrains, all equipped with all-wheel drive and dual electric motors:
- xDrive45: 402 horsepower, 516 lb-ft of torque, 100.1-kWh battery, estimated 312-mile range
- xDrive60: 536 horsepower, 564 lb-ft of torque, 113.4-kWh battery, estimated 340-mile range
- M70 xDrive: 650 horsepower, 811 lb-ft of torque (in Sport mode), 112.8-kWh battery, estimated 302-mile range
BMW states the iX xDrive45 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, the xDrive60 in 4.4 seconds, and the M70 xDrive in just 3.6 seconds when using launch control.

Release Date and Pricing
The 2026 BMW iX is set to hit dealerships in the second quarter of 2025. Pricing starts at $76,325 (including a $1,175 destination fee) for the base xDrive45 model, making it $12,100 cheaper than the previous entry-level model.

Powertrain Improvements and Efficiency
BMW has made several advancements to the iX’s powertrain to enhance efficiency and range. Key upgrades include:

All three iX variants feature an 11-kW onboard AC charger. DC fast-charging speeds differ slightly between models:

BMW claims a 10% to 80% charge can be completed in approximately 35 minutes across all trims. Additionally, the 2026 iX supports plug-and-charge functionality for a seamless public charging experience.
