Genesis Service Valet: Redefining Luxury Car Maintenance
Introduction to Genesis' Service Valet Program
Luxury car brands are known for offering exclusive perks, from extended warranties to state-of-the-art showrooms. However, Genesis, Hyundai's luxury division, has taken customer service to a whole new level with its innovative Service Valet program. This unique offering ensures that luxury car owners can maintain their vehicles with minimal disruption to their daily lives. Genesis will pick up your car from your home, office, or any preferred location, provide a loaner vehicle, and return your car once the service is complete. This service is designed to cater to the busy lifestyles of luxury car owners, offering unparalleled convenience.

Our Experience with Genesis Service Valet
We recently had the opportunity to test Genesis' Service Valet program with our 2019 Genesis G70 3.3-liter Prestige, which was awarded MotorVero's Best of 2019. After two months of ownership and approximately 3,300 miles, we noticed a shaky head-up display (HUD) and decided to give the Service Valet a try. Here's how our experience unfolded:

- Scheduling the Service: We attempted to schedule the service through Genesis' Intelligent Assistant app. While the app couldn't connect directly to our dealership, it provided the dealership's phone number. A quick call allowed us to explain the HUD issue and request the Service Valet.
- Vehicle Swap: The dealership arranged for a vehicle swap the following morning at our downtown office, where we regularly park the G70.
- Communication: The morning of the service, we received a call and two text messages confirming the driver's arrival time, location, and contact details. The driver also called 10 minutes before arrival to ensure a smooth handover.
- Loaner Vehicle: The driver arrived on time and left us with a 2019 Genesis G80 equipped with all-wheel drive and a 3.8-liter V-6 engine, boasting just 186 miles on the odometer.
- Service Completion: Three hours after dropping off the G80, the dealership called with a diagnosis but no immediate repairs needed for our G70. Four hours after the initial handover, our G70 was returned to our office, freshly washed and ready to go.

Given that our dealership is located 17 miles away from our office, we were thoroughly impressed with the efficiency and convenience of Genesis' Service Valet program. The entire process involved minimal disruption to our workday, making it a standout feature for luxury car owners.
Why Genesis Service Valet Stands Out
While valet services are not entirely new in the automotive industry, Genesis has refined the concept to cater specifically to luxury car owners. Here’s why this program stands out:

Genesis' Commitment to Luxury Ownership
Genesis' Service Valet program is part of the brand's broader commitment to redefining luxury car ownership. Unlike traditional luxury brands that rely on standalone dealerships, Genesis initially operated within Hyundai dealerships. However, the brand has been working to establish its own dedicated dealership network to provide a more exclusive experience for its customers. While this network is still in development, the Service Valet program ensures that Genesis owners receive top-tier service regardless of dealership proximity.

Comparing Genesis to Other Luxury Brands
Genesis is not the only brand to offer valet services. Competitors like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have similar programs. However, Genesis distinguishes itself by integrating this service into its broader strategy of customer-centric innovation. For example, Hyundai previously offered valet services for its Equus model, a precursor to the Genesis G90. This move was particularly significant as it allowed luxury buyers to avoid mingling with mainstream car shoppers, a preference supported by industry surveys.

Future of Genesis Service Valet
As Genesis continues to expand its dealership network and refine its customer service offerings, the Service Valet program is expected to play a central role. Owners of models like the G70, G80, and G90 can look forward to even more streamlined and personalized experiences. Additionally, the program is available for regularly scheduled maintenance, making it a practical solution for long-term ownership.

Conclusion
Genesis' Service Valet program is a game-changer for luxury car owners, offering a level of convenience and service that sets it apart from competitors. By eliminating the need for dealership visits and providing seamless communication and loaner vehicles, Genesis ensures that maintaining a luxury car is as effortless as driving one. As the brand continues to grow and innovate, programs like Service Valet will undoubtedly solidify its position as a leader in the luxury automotive market.
