Cars for Sale Byron, Ok
Byron, Oklahoma, a small town in Alfalfa County, holds a significant place in the historical and agricultural fabric of Northern Oklahoma. Named by Postmaster V.C. Spurrier in 1898 after his relative, Byron Spurrier, who owned a local store, the town received its postal designation on April 27, 1898. Initially part of Woods County, Byron became a part of the newly organized Alfalfa County in 1907 when Oklahoma achieved statehood. Early development was slow due to a lack of railroad access, a stark contrast to its northern neighbor, Amorita, which benefited from early rail connections.

Cars for Sale Amorita, OK
Amorita, Oklahoma, a small town in Alfalfa County, holds a unique place in the history and agricultural landscape of Northern Oklahoma. Cars for Sale Texola, Ok
Texola, Oklahoma, a small town in Beckham County, holds a unique place in the history and geography of Western Oklahoma. Located near the 100th Meridian, this area was surveyed eight different times, leading to a quirky past where some early residents found themselves living in both Texas and Oklahoma without physically relocating. Before being named Texola, the town site was known as Texokla and Texoma, reflecting its borderland identity. Texola was originally part of northern Greer County until Beckham County was formed after Oklahoma gained statehood in 1907. A post office was established on December 12, 1901, and the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad (later Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway) was built through the town in 1902. The local economy was historically agriculturally based, supported by cotton gins and a corn and grist mill, and saw growth in the 1920s, peaking at a population of 581 in 1930. The arrival of U.S. Route 66 had a positive impact on the local economy, bringing scores of travelers for decades until I-40 was completed to the north in 1975

Cars for Sale Yeager, Ok
Yeager, Oklahoma, is a small town in Hughes County, situated six miles north of Holdenville, the county seat. The town's population was 45 at the 2020 census, a decrease from 75 in 2010. Developed in the early 1900s, Yeager's history is closely tied to the St. Louis, Oklahoma and Southern Railway, which was built between 1900 and 1901. The town, named for Creek allottee Hattie Yargee, received its post office in 1902, with the spelling adjusted to the present "Yeager" by the Post Office Department. A significant boom occurred in 1917 with the opening of the Yeager Oil Field, producing 25 to 2500 barrels of oil per day, which dramatically increased the railroad's revenue in the 1920s by transporting lumber, rig timber, and oil-field equipment. By 1918, citizens had established a Baptist Church and a Church of Christ, and the town's population was estimated at 350, reflecting its peak during the oil boom. Despite later decline, with the school building destroyed by fire in 1957 but subsequently rebuilt, Yeager maintains its identity as a quiet, rural community.
