Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant at MotorVero, you’ll oversee various accounting functions, including monthly close processes, financial and SEC reporting, SOX compliance, external audits, and process improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a firm grasp of accounting principles, and effective communication to collaborate across departments such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Collections.
Responsibilities:
- Manage critical aspects of the monthly financial close to ensure accurate and timely reporting on the general ledger and financial results.
- Review subsidiary financials for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper consolidation into consolidated statements.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos, including updates and new position memos.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, process improvement initiatives, and year-end audit and quarterly reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA certification with 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage professionally and helpfully with colleagues.
- Motivated team player with a forward-thinking, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial systems/software (NetSuite and/or Concur experience is a plus).
